Notice is hereby given that a

Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the

Chillicothe Independent School District will be held on

May 16, 2006, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the Board Conference Room/Central

Administration Office

1610 S. 6th Street, Chillicothe, Texas

 

The subjects to be discussed or considered, or upon which any formal action

may be taken, are as follows: (Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on the meeting notice.)

 

1. Establish Quorum Present and Call to Order.

 

2.  Student Recognition for Outstanding Achievements in Academics, Athletics and Extracurricular Events.

 

3. Minutes of Previous Meetings. 

 

4. Canvass 2006 Trustee Election and Declare the Results.

 

5.  Administer Oath of Office to Newly Elected Board Members.

 

6.  Organize the Board for 2006-2007 school year.

 

7. Open Forum.

 

8.  Introduction of John Robertson as Chillicothe High School Principal, and Susan Pautsky as Food Service Director for the 2006-2007 school year. 

 

9.  Consideration and Approval of Bills.

 

10.  Consideration of Summer Projects for June 2006 and Budget Amendments.

 

11.  Consideration and Adopt Greenbelt Shared Services Arrangement Contract for the 2006-2007 school year. 

 

12.  Executive Session. ..Personnel matters that may include but not limited to: resignations, employment of personnel, positions, assignments, duties, compensations, and benefits.

 

13.  Discuss the Job Description and Benefits for the Counselor for the 2006-2007 school year.   

 

 

14.  Recommendations for hiring secondary teacher openings for the 2006-2007 school year. 

 

15.  Accept the resignation of Eugene Wilton, head football coach, and Linda Wilton, high school secretary. 

 

 

16.  Superintendent’s Report

·        Programs in the Month of May

17.  Adjourn.

If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Gov't. Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E.
