District Purchases Computers

New Computers are HERE!!

Chillicothe ISD has purchased new computers for both the elementary and Jr./Sr. campuses.

The Elementary computer lab will be receiving an upgrade this summer. The existing computers will be replaced with 20 Dell Optiplex GX 280's with 2 gb of Ram, 3.0 GHz processors and 60gb hard drives. The current computers will be refreshed and distributed to teacher class rooms throughout the district. An upgrade will also be happening in the Elementary Fast Forward lab. Six Optiplex machines were purchased for that lab also.

At the secondary campus, two COW'S (Computers on Wheels) were purchased. There are two carts with 15 Dell 610 laptops that will be available to check for teachers in their rooms. One cart is available for check out now, and the second will be available soon. In the week it has been available, the COW has been check out by three teachers for use in English research papers, and senior Scholarship Applications. Students and teachers seem to enjoy the convenience of using the laptop cart and not having to depend on the limited availability of the computer lab.
